Makarun helps

Christmas mood spread among Makarun and its Franchisee from Bielsko-Biała. As a common goal we set to help not only children, but also our four-legged friends.

All this started our Spaghetteria located in Krakow at St. Thomas Street 10 which, on December 2nd, took part in a charity campaign “Świąteczny Stół Pajacyka”. The action was based on the transfer of 10% of the turnover from that specific day for the Polish Humanitarian Action, thanks to which children from all over the Poland received hot meals.

– Customers were very enthusiastic about our activities and seeing a poster eagerly wanted to contribute. They even bought meals for friends and family members – says Ms Monika, Makarun’s employee.

After that, our Franchisee from Bielsko-Biała – Ms Bożena also wanted to help someone. She is an animal lover. Privately, she takes care of a dog – Lady, cat – Tosia, guinea pig – Madzia and small fish named Alex. That is why she decided to support the local shelter and organized a collection of food for cats and dogs. In exchange for the gifts, she offered her customers a 20% discount for ordered Makaruns. The action lasted from 10th to 20th December and resulted in gathering eighteen cans of cat’s food, several large bags of dry food for both cats and dogs as well as blankets, towels and other necessary small things.

These were one of the first, and certainly not last, actions of this type in the history of the Makarun Spaghetti and Salad brand. We hope that in the future we will encourage more Franchisees to participate in charitable actions – it costs very little but brings a lot of good.
